We prioritise people and planet over profit by utilising local, seasonal, and organic produce to craft nutritious meals from scratch.

Head Chef:

We are seeking a passionate and visionary Head Chef to lead the culinary operations of The Warren. This role is not just about leading a kitchen; it's about being a part of a community movement, educating on the importance of sustainable food systems, and making a real impact on people's lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute seasonal menus that reflect our commitment to local, organic produce and sustainability.

  • Oversee the daily operations of The Warren's kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

  • Collaborate with the Cegin Hedyn team to integrate allotment-grown produce into the canteen's offerings.

  • Lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff, fostering an environment of learning & growth.

  • Manage food costing, inventory, and supplier relationships to align with our sustainability goals and budgetary constraints.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef role with a passion for sustainable and ethical food practices.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Creative culinary skills with a deep understanding of seasonal, organic produce and the ability to create innovative, nutritious menus.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the team.

Salary: Up to £16 per hour based on a 40hr week.
