Garden Expansion

We’re really excited to share with you that we’re expanding our growing space into our neighbours garden. The plan to is to go BIG on planting Squash in time for our winter menu.

We will be growing organically, using the permaculture method of mulching using well rotted manure (from a different friendly neighbour), some Merlins Magic Compost, used cardboard (from the restaurant) & surplus wood chip. This method means one doesn’t have to dig over the soil to put the plants into the ground. The cardboard suppresses the grass enough so weeds don’t come through.

We’ll update you with regular progress shots as and when, but for now it’s back to sorting out converting the horse/bunny box ready for this years events.
